Classroom Management

First grade will be using Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control) in conjunction with a whole class positive behavior jar for our behavior management this year. The behavior jar allows students to win points for good behavior as individuals and an entire class.  The behavior jar allows us to encourage those Fruit of the Spirit positive behaviors like self-control and kindness, to create a Christ-centered learning environment.  For any undesirable behaviors (not being kind, lacking self control, etc, students will receive a behavior mark.  Mrs. Turner and I will chart tally marks for students and laps will be walked for each tally at recess.  They will be engaging in movement and taking responsibility for their actions at the same time.
