Saint Mark is Named an Indiana Purple Star School
Saint Mark Catholic School has been recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as a Purple Star School for honoring our significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military!
It was our great privilege to welcome three military members from the Indiana National Guard,
in partnership with the Indiana Department of Education, to present us with this very special award!
Saint Mark honors, celebrates, and is thankful for our Military and Veterans!
Saint Mark Catholic School is committed to supporting our military-connected students and families through dedicated programs, resources, and initiatives. Our Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony, Veteran’s Day Mass, Care-Packages and Letter Writing to Military Service Members and Veterans, opportunities for students to meet and speak with Military Service Members, and raising funds to help Veterans in our community are just some of the ways we show our gratitude and support to our military-connected students and families in our school and our community.
Veterans Day 2025
We were honored to welcome military service members past and present to our Veterans Day Event on November 11th, 2025. Several military service members joined us for a special Mass led by our military connected students! Following Mass our military service members and their families joined us for a reception in their honor and we welcomed military service members into our classrooms to speak with our students about their service. Finally, students created over 40 care packages to send to military service members in our school and parish community including several of our St Mark alumni!
